Immigration Law Article:

Coffee Makers and Immigration

Or What do I do When I get There?

Okay, I recognize that these terms are not usually associated with each other, so why such an odd sounding title? Let me explain. This article is not so much about helping you with the immigration process as it is about helping you once your immigration efforts have been successful.

I have tried to provide articles of interest to anyone who is considering bringing an alien fiancée or spouse to America . The details are in other articles that are posted here, but this will usually require pursuing a fiancée or marriage visa, or it can also be done through an immediate relative petition if an alien spouse is the reason for seeking a visa. If both parties live in the alien’s home country, pursuing a direct consular filing may also be appropriate.

In addition to the articles I have written and posted here, and the many immigration links that we have provided, I also wrote a book about immigration. No Price Too Great is the name of the book, and it has its own website at www.leesolomon.org . I hope that the story my family and I have shared in our book will serve as an inspiration for others who have immigrated or are thinking of immigrating to America .

I will share another story that I hope will help you as well.

I recently began using Twitter ( www.twitter.com/lee_solomon ) as a way of maintaining contact with friends and colleagues. What has happened has been nothing short of amazing. In just a few days I made a new friend all the way on the other side of the world in Singapore . He and his family are not seeking a way to immigrate to America , but they are in contact with many people in America and around the world. They have established a web-based business at http://www.oncoffeemakers.com where they provide a lot of valuable information to coffee lovers around the world, and it allows them to pursue their dream while living the lifestyle that is important to them.

Through the power of the Internet, you can also meet my friend and his family at http://www.oncoffeemakers.com/about-me.html , and learn more about coffee and coffee makers at the same time. Their story is inspirational to me, and maybe it will be inspirational for you as well.

There is a reason I am sharing their story with you. Many times when people move to America from other countries, they look for ways to earn money that will not require them to start their education all over again. My suggestion is that you could learn a lot about marketing and about pursuing your dream in America or wherever you may live by spending time learning about how my friend has done it.

Look again at what is on this page http://www.oncoffeemakers.com/about-me.html and you will see a link to something called SBI. This is how he learned to build a website and a business. Perhaps this method that he used will inspire you to do the same.

On the Internet, everyone has the same opportunity, whether you are an immigrant living in America or somewhere else in the world. One thing my friend has done is give people a reason to visit his website frequently. At his invitation I visited his website and saw that he provides visitors with a place to share their stories about coffee.

So I wrote a little story about coffee, and the next thing I knew, it was there for the entire world to see, courtesy of my friend in Singapore . http://www.oncoffeemakers.com/just-a-little-story-about-coffee-on-two-continents.html I know people are reading it because they are posting comments about it.

So I encourage you to be inspired by my friend’s story. Don’t be bored and don’t be discouraged after you immigrate to America . It is easy to start a new business in America . You may even have an advantage. After all, you probably know a lot about some things that most people in America know little about. My friend did it with coffeemakers. What about your passion in life? Is that a business opportunity that is just waiting for you to make it happen?
